On the 20th of June, the ICANN is a program to introduce new generic top level domains (gTLD's) on the market. A historic decision that we will see new gTLD's for such cities (. NYC. PARIS), industries (. BANK), brands and specialties (. ECO,. FOOD,. SPORTS).

All who wish to pursue their own gTLDs may apply to ICANN, between 12 January and 12 April 2012. The applications are then processed by ICANN will publish the results of the applications in November 2012. The first new gTLDs: are expected to be out on the market at the beginning of 2013.

You can apply for a gTLD for their own use, for example, a company name or trademark, or for commercial purposes, if you want to even gTLDs should be registered by others.
